LG Spectrum Firmware Update rolling out now (VS920V6)
That’s it folks, The latest update is being pushed to the LG Spectrum. This isn’t an Ice Cream Sandwich update, that I’m sure you’d all rather see. This is however a pretty significant update. I won’t go in to every little detail, as TalkAndroid did give you the 411 the other day that it was on its way. You’ll see plenty of updates to various applications, including some bloatware apps, and bug fixes. Samsung Galaxy S III commercial released
Since the announcement of the Galaxy S III, more and more information has been reported which is creating more excitement and anticipation for its inevitable release later this month. Samsung has now put out an official commercial for their new Galaxy phone which highlights how the phone will affect your life versus just focusing on its killer specs. O2 UK To Roll Out Improved DC-HSPA Network Across Major Cities
O2 is ready and primed to have best network in the UK by beginning the first stages of rolling out an improved HSPA network. More specifically— Crave is reporting O2 has begun rolling out DC-HSPA for major cities in the UK (think London, Manchester and Birmingham for example). This new ”dual-cell high speed packet access” format will double the topline speed currently found in HSPA+ to a theoretical maximum output of up to 42Mbps, though real world speeds will be much more down to earth than that.
LG Optimus 4X HD Set To Land In Europe By June
LG’s latest and greatest piece of gold finally has a confirmed arrival date. The Optimus 4X HD is set to arrive next month and will come fully loaded featuring a Tegra 3 quad core processor, 720P IPS display, an 8MP BSI camera, 2,150mAh battery and Android 4.0. LG confirmed the superphone will launch in select European countries including Poland, Italy, Sweden, Germany and the UK to start off with. While there’s no confirmed version for the U.S. (yet), there is word on the street that the Optimus 4X HD will likely arrive as the T-Mobile G4X— the follow-up to last year’s T-Mobile G2X smartphone (aka the Optimus 2X).

I don’t believe I could name very many people that do not like music. I could name a ton of friends that love music and couldn’t get through the work day without it, myself included. Having a great phone that give you a great musical experience is key. My Sprint Galaxy Nexus does me just fine for pouring sick beats into my ears throughout the workday. Well Motorola has taken the music lovers wants into consideration. At least those living in China.
LG Spectrum Update coming, Still no Ice Cream Sandwich
All of you LG Spectrum owners will soon have an update available for your Android device. This latest update version, VS920V6 is on deck to be pushed to your Verizon Wireless handsets. Unfortunately you won’t yet be seeing that sought after Android 4.0 update just yet. But the laundry list of updates in this version are worth noting. You will be graced with plenty of bloatware updates, updates to Google Play, Gmail, Talk and YouTube, and more. The file size is 127mb, so you could be spending some time updating depending on your network coverage of course.
